Legendary LED ZEPPELIN guitarist Jimmy Page has posted the following mesasage on his Facebook page:
"On March 20, the Spring Equinox 2012, the title music for 'Lucifer Rising And Other Sound Tracks' will have its premiere and release.  The title music, along with other musical pieces recorded at my home studio in the early Seventies, have been revisited, remixed and released for the first time.  This is a musical diary of avant-garde compositions and experiments, one of which was to appear on the film 'Lucifer Rising'.  The collection has been exhumed and is now ready for public release.  This will be available exclusively on [].  There will be a standard release on heavyweight vinyl.  In addition there will be a special run of 418 numbered copies. The first 93 copies will be signed and numbered.  There are liner notes and commentary to each track.

Cease2 submitted this thread.  Thanks Cease2!!  I (personally) know nothing about this topic.  Evidently, Jimmy Page also created a soundtrack for Kenneth Anger's film, which was never used for the film, or released (until now).  Here's the back story for anyone like me, who has no idea:

"Lucifer Rising" is a short film by director Kenneth Anger. The film was completed in 1972 but was only widely distributed in 1980.  Anger began filming around 1966, hiring a young musician named Bobby Beausoleil to act and compose the soundtrack. The film was abandoned in 1967 because Anger claimed the film footage had been stolen by Beausoleil. (Beausoleil and others said that Anger had simply spent all the money for the film)
Anger then used some of the existing footage in another short film, "Invocation of My Demon Brother". Beausoleil was convicted of killing Gary Hinman under the orders of Charles Manson in 1970.
Anger began filming again several years later, with British singer Marianne Faithfull appearing in the film. Chris Jagger, brother of Mick Jagger, had a falling out with Anger during the filming and most of his parts were excised from the final product. Beausoleil wrote and recorded the music in prison.
Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page, who composed a soundtrack for the film which was ultimately unused, makes a brief appearance. A bearded Page holds an Egyptian stele while gazing at a portrait of occultist Aleister Crowley. Crowley associate Gerald Yorke is credited as "Thelemic consultant."
Thanks Cease2!!!  You ROCK!!!
MattP Writes:
I picked-up a clear blue vinyl bootleg of the Lucifier Rising Album in Providence, back in the 90s. The front cover is a picture of Jimmy Page and Aleister Crowley, so I took a pic… thinking you might want to add it to the thread. I also have the original mix on CD if you're interested… I can send that as well!
Jimmy Page and Aleister Crowley!
