The Protesters...

All of this "Anti-Trump protesting" is an assault on our Democratic process. It's Un-American. Our nation's ability to hold open elections, with a peaceful transition of power, is the key element that separates us, from third world countries.

Do we really want to become a nation, where the outcome of our Presidential elections are not honored by all Americans? Do we really want to become a nation, where our official election results (every 4 years) will spawn discord, violence, vandalism... and maybe even assassination?

I’ve voted my entire life. In that span of time, only TWICE did my chosen candidate win. In short, I’ve been very disappointed following almost all elections. BUT nonetheless, when my candidate lost, I didn’t kick and scream, burn the flag, stop traffic, harass the incoming President, skip my college classes, move to Canada, or anything else. I’m an American. I did the right thing. I conceded the loss graciously, and I got behind the newly elected President. That’s what Americans do… and that’s what makes our nation great.

Instead of condoning this “protesting” behavior… parents, college professors, and celebrities, should use this situation as an opportunity to teach the next generation. Teach these kids, what it means to be an American. Teach these kids, that our election process is sacred, and the results are final. Teach these kids, how to behave, when faced with defeat and disappointment.

My "Takeaway" from this Election...

Whenever something of historical significance happens, I try to learn something from it. Here’s my “takeaway” from this election:

#1) You can’t believe what the media tells you. You MUST do your own research. In short, modern media sucks.

The media was so overwhelmingly biased in this election, I didn’t recognize my own country.
I felt like I was living in a fascist society, because the media coverage was complete propaganda.

Moreover, the media only reported HALF of all relevant news. They focused ad-nauseam on Anti-Trump smear snippets, while ignoring important issues.

The media had Americans completely convinced that Donald Trump had no chance at victory… and obviously, in hindsight, nothing was further from the case.

Ideally, the media is supposed to report facts only, and omit their personal opinions. That’s how newspapers and television stations operated, when I was a kid. Our media has gone right down the crapper.

#2) Celebrities can suck my left nut.

For some fucked-up reason, Hollywood personalities (actors, actresses, musicians, comedians, talk show hosts, etc) have convinced themselves, that their vote (and political opinions) are more important, than anyone else’s.

The election is OVER… and these crazy celebrities STILL believe, that if they kick and scream long enough, they can STILL change the outcome.

Here’s a newsflash for Bruce Springsteen, Robert Deniro, Bill Maher, Rachel Maddow, Lady Gaga, Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie O’Donnell, Amy Schumer, the entire cast of “The View”… and all the others:
MY political opinion is JUST as important as yours! MY vote is JUST as important as yours! So please, go fuck yourself.  Have a BIG piece of humble pie on me…and get lost already.

It brings me great joy to know, that the “common man” proved beyond any doubt, that their vote (and opinion) matters!

#3) The pundits, celebrities, and Democrats underestimated (and overlooked) several key groups.

For starters… senior citizens. Do they realize how many people in this country are over 65? (Roughly 45 million people, or 15% of the population)

Secondly… the folks in rural areas. Evidently, only city dwellers count.

And last but not least… they underestimated the political clout of Catholics, Christians and Evangelicals… because hey… they’re all just antiquated jackasses right???? "Extremely backward" right???

#4) Money can’t buy everything.

BILLIONS of dollars in dirty money was thrown behind Hillary Clinton… and all for naught.

George Soros, the “Super Pacs”, and “special interests” threw insane amounts of money down the tubes.

It brings me great joy to know, that all the dirty money in the world, couldn’t buy a US election (this time around)…

Evidently, all that money, celebrity backing, and media propaganda, just wasn’t enough leverage to convince Americans that a poor candidate was a smart choice.

As my Portuguese friend often says:
"You can’t make chicken salad out of chicken shit, no matter how much mayonnaise you use".

#5) In closing, I’d just like to say, that I’m proud of the American people.

Americans invested the time and effort necessary, to research the facts for themselves.

Americans were not deterred by the constant barrage of media propaganda.

Americans weren’t brainwashed by the countless celebrities who tried to discourage independent thinking.

Americans proved, that money can’t buy everything.

And most importantly… Americans proved that ANYTHING is possible with God.

Maybe when we become “One nation under God” again, good things will start happening for us.

As Mike Pence said it best (while defending unborn children):
"You can judge a society, by how it treats it’s most vulnerable".
